April 17, we met at the Kansas City Zoo for the KC "Party for the Planet" Earth Day Celebration. Marty Kraft was out of town.

This was an opportunity for the kids to participate in an Earth Day and see how it worked in order to help them prepare for their neighborhood Earth Day celebrations. The EcoKids were asked to staff their booth for two hours and to spend an additional hour viewing other booths and asking questions. 

The EcoKids talked to visitors and handing out literature. They were exposed to the other groups present and got a broader view of working for the environment.

There was wide range of information available and lots of activities to participate in. They also got to see the zoo.
