On January 16 we met with a three part agenda.

First, to talk to the kids about the details of an experiment testing Radiance paint. The experiment seemed too time consuming for the kids to put it all together so I set it up so they could see all the elements. Next week we will do the actual test.

Second, we viewed a 30 minute permaculture video, The Global Gardener, (1-800-543-3764 ) with extensive coverage of Village Homes, a model ecological subdivision in Davis, California. The video was an excellent, inspiring and practical lead-in to our creating out own block model.

The third part was looking at the 4X8 ft sheet of flake board that forms the base of our scale model of a block. Streets, parkways, sidewalks and lots have been marked off in pencil. Each EcoKid will get a lot and make a model of her own house.
