| In the photo above you can see nine shallow bags of vermiculite and compost planted with starts of bahia grass. The roots of the grass have been inoculated with three species of micorizzal fungi of the Glomus genus.
The idea is to raise micorizzal fungi to be used as innoculant for the roots of vegetable crops.

| This photo shows the same bed in the fall. March 5, 2007 samples were taken from the bags and were sent to see if we were successful in raising our own micorizzal fungi innoculant.
The innoculant can increase the yield of many vegetable crops and also sequester carbon in the soil. We will also be using no till methods to retain the carbon in the soil.
