Garden Harvest Festival 10/16/04

GARDEN HARVEST FESTIVAL
October 16 at Troostwood Garden at 52ND & PASEO
11:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Featuring

Stan Slaughter the Eco Troubadour AKA Compost Man with Joel Kraft and Kasey Rausch providing fun music with a green flavor.

A Reading of a Funny Conversation between St. Francis and God concerning lawns.

Natural Balance, Presentation by Michael Schouwenaar - Michael will talk about his experience working to build a completely sustainable community over the last 30 years in the Neatherlands.

We’ll have guided tours of our garden with its compost heated greenhouse, compost demonstration site, mud shed, square foot beds, mud oven and urban forest nursery. Our market will be open.

Please bring a potluck dish to share. We will have some hot dogs and not dogs (veggie). We will also have bread baked in our mud oven.

The most environmentally friendly thing to do is bring your own plates and flatware that you can take home and wash. That way we don’t put more styrofoam and paper into the landfill. We will supply these items for those who forget.

If you would like to volunteer to help, please call Ericka 816-444-5788 or Marty 816-361-1230
