Use a 1 1/2 inch curtain rod (10' wooden), wide ribbon (12' lengths, expensive) or sheets cut into strips and tacks and tack the strips to the top. Put base in deck umbrella stand (freestanding type), or christmas tree stand filled with rocks. Pole must be at least 4" over their heads. Good Luck!
