Hello, my name is Laura Buse and I teach 3rd grade in Austin, Texas. My students
are passionate about saving the South China Tigers. They have put together a game
plan. 1. They picked a name for their effort: Texas Tiger Team
2. They set forth their objective: support agencies that are working to
save the South China Tigers.
3. They then decided what they would have to do to meet their objective:
a. educate themselves and then others.
b. conduct fundraisers.
c. develop a web page to attract other students to the cause.
d. start letter writing campaign.
Of course, this is the planning of a group of nine year olds. It will inevitably evolve
and contain specifics as they learn more. The reason I am writing to ask for your encouragement. It will help them to know that others know of their
endeavor and are supportive.
